We Are a Young, Innovative, and Diverse
Video Production Organization
The purpose of WIF is dedicated to empowering, promoting, and mentoring women in the field of film. To encourage diversity, both on-and-off the screen, as well as actively providing equitable treatment and opportunities for students to collaborate in creating and producing films. We as an organization will provide the resources and connections to ensure that women are equally represented in film, as audiences alike of all diversities, ages, ethnicities, and cultures continue to grow. WIF's ultimate goal is to enhance and expand the portrayal of women in all forms of global media, encourage leadership, and contribute to a world where women are equally represented in the entertainment community.
Pre-Production
We cover all aspects of film production starting with screenwriting, location selection, and even to stunt coordination. At the beginning of each planed semester, we will go over the proper techniques and ways to go about accomplishing your pre-production checklist.
Production
Then comes the good stuff. When we begin the meat of production, we will work with camera techniques and guidelines as well as the best ways to go about implementing your vision. Then as a team, we will all work together to create a short film for the semester, throughout the semester.
Post-Production
Here is where our officer team and our members put the final touches together for our video we would've been working on throughout the semester. This process includes editing via Adobe Premiere, OpenShot, and Adobe Aftereffects to name a few as well as fine-tuning through other video adjustment software to bring our video masterpieces to life.
